Think about how much of our lives we’ve put into this thing. We built profiles, uploaded our lives, made friends, fought with strangers, chased numbers, learned the feeds, fed the feeds, and eventually started carrying the whole fuckin’ thing around in our pockets.

None of this happened overnight. The internet changed piece by piece over the years, and so did we.

That’s the part I keep coming back to. We weren’t standing somewhere outside of all this, watching it happen. We were right in the middle of it, living through it while it was working its way deeper and deeper into our lives.

We still are.
