SKULL AND BONES — Original Drawing

Skull and Bones is a one-of-one original artwork examining power, spectacle, secrecy, and the imagery surrounding one of the defining events of the modern American era.

Created in 2017 using Prisma Premier colored pencils on hand-cut Crescent illustration board, the work places George W. Bush at the center of a surreal composition of smoke, aircraft, the Twin Towers, and skull-and-bones symbolism.

Bush is stripped of the visual authority of the presidency and recast as a court figure, surrounded by symbols of catastrophe and concealed power. The ornate, hand-cut shape of the illustration board pushes the work beyond a conventional rectangular drawing, turning the physical object itself into part of the composition.

The work does not provide the viewer with a comfortable explanation.

It asks who holds power.
Who performs it.
And what remains hidden behind the spectacle.

A portrait of authority turned inside out.
A document of suspicion.
A piece of Handmade Resistance.

Not reproduced. Not sanitized.
Once sold, it’s gone.

Collector Value

Skull and Bones is an early-era original Stevie D TV work, created in 2017 during the same foundational period represented by other works in the Handmade Resistance archive.

Unlike a print or reproduction, the collector receives the actual hand-worked artifact: the original pencil surface, custom-cut illustration board, and shaped wooden mounting that together form the finished piece.

Its combination of political portraiture, 9/11 imagery, secret-society symbolism, and hand-fabricated presentation places it firmly within the confrontational visual language that would continue developing throughout Stevie D TV.

One work. One physical artifact. One owner.
